Carmelo Marrelli

Carmelo Marrelli, also known as Carm, is the principal of Marrelli Support Services Inc., a firm that has delivers accounting and regulatory compliance services to listed companies on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), TSX Venture Exchange (TSX-V) and the Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE), as well as non-listed companies. In addition, Carm is affiliated with DSA Corporate Services Inc., a firm providing corporate secretarial and regulatory filing services to the junior capital market in Canada.

Carm also provides office rental solutions through the Canadian Venture Building. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto.

Passionate about meeting his clients’ needs and expectations, Carm is driven to go the extra mile, develop business relationships that stand the test of time. Carm also acts as the chief financial officer to a number of issuers on the TSX, TSX-V and CSE, as well as non-listed companies and as a director of select issuers.

Pritha_Sarkar

Pritha Sarkar, Account Executive

Pritha Sarkar joined the DSA team in 2017 as an Account Executive providing corporate secretarial, regulatory and governance services to DSA’s clients.  Prior to joining the group, Pritha spent seven years working in financial services in India which included five years at the Bank of America. Pritha has an MBA degree majoring in finance from Institute of Technology and Management in affiliation with South New Hampshire University, USA and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. In addition, Pritha has attained a Canadian Law Clerk Diploma with distinction. Pritha is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries (ICSA) and is planning to pursue the Chartered Secretaries Qualifying Scheme (CSQS) program to become a Certified Chartered Secretary in the near future.

Hugh Ferreira, Senior Compliance Manager

Hugh Ferreira joined DSA in 2012 and manages DSA Filing Services Limited.  He has over 10 years’experience in the field of regulatory filings and continuous disclosure, serving a number of clientcompanies publicly listed on stock exchanges across the globe.  He has an excellent understanding of reporting systems, namely SEDAR, EDGAR, and SEDI, and has knowledge of securities laws.  Filing projects that Hugh manages include Prospectuses, Rights Offerings, Exempt Market Offerings, Annual Financial Statements & MD&As, and Annual Shareholder Meeting Management Proxy Materials.  Hugh advises his clients on the timing and formatting of their news releases, and ensures that all newsreleases achieve target market distributions in Canada, the US, and globally.  Hugh has a Bachelor ofCommerce degree from the University of Toronto and is currently working towards his CPA.

Archibald

Jo-Anne Archibald, President

Jo-Anne Archibald is the President of DSA Corporate Services Inc., and has over thirty years of corporate secretarial, investor relations and marketing experience. Previously, Jo-Anne was Senior Vice President, at TMX Equicom. In addition, Jo-Anne has held roles with Sun Life Financial, Nestlé Canada, Second Cup, Campbell’s and Loblaws. She has an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at Western University and an H.Bsc. from the University of Guelph. She is a Fellow (FCIS) of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) and is a graduate of the ICD-Rotman Directors Education Program from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D). She is also on the Editorial Committee for Canada’s “Corporate Governance Quarterly” magazine. Jo-Anne has been a member of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) and a CIRI Ontario Director from 2006-2013. She served as CIRI Ontario’s Secretary to the Board from 2006-2009 and as Treasurer from 2010-2013. Jo-Anne also acts as Corporate Secretary to a number of client companies.

Andrew_Newbury

Andrew Newbury, Compliance Manager

Andrew Newbury joined DSA Corporate Services in 2017 as the Compliance Manager. Andrew has 10 years of administrative, financial, and operational experience at a variety of small businesses. He has served as Corporate Affairs Manager for a junior mineral exploration company as a Logistics Manager for a mining exploration consulting firm, and as a Sales Administrator and Controller at a yacht dealership. Andrew has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA). He is also pursuing the Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance (ACAF) from CPA Canada.

Andrew Todd, Vice President

Andrew Todd has over thirty years senior management and corporate secretarial experience in Canada and the UK, specifically in corporate business compliance, customer service and project management.  He has focused on the areas of financial, commercial, real estate and research.  Since 2005 Andrew has worked at DSA Corporate Services with Canadian mining exploration, high-tech, pharmaceutical and cannabis clients with worldwide operations.  He has a bachelor of laws degree (LLB) from University College, London, England and a fellowship (FCIS) from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA).  Andrew has in-depth understanding of corporate governance, compliance, ethical and corporate responsibility issues. Having been a member of the Ontario Branch Council, Education and Editorial Committees of ICSA Canada, he is currently on the Editorial Committee of Canada’s “Corporate Governance Quarterly” magazine.

George A. Duguay

George A. Duguay is a Senior Executive on the DSA Corporate Services team.  George has experience in the technology, financial services and resource industries. From 1988 to February 2006, he was the President of G. Duguay Services Inc., a partner of Duguay & Ringler Corporate Services, a provider of corporate secretarial and financial administrative services to public companies. In addition, George was a founder of Equity Financial Trust Company (now TMX Equity Transfer Services), a provider of transfer agency and corporate trust services. From May 1993 to December 2004, George served as a Director of Genesis Microchip Inc., the world’s leading supplier of display image processors listed on the NASDAQ Stock Market.  George is a Certified General Accountant (CGA) and a Fellow (FCIS) of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA).  He is Corporate Secretary to a number of client companies.

Natalia Correa, Cash Operation Manager

Natalia Correa joined MSSI in 2007. Natalia serves as the Cash Operation Manager at MSSI and is responsible for directing, reviewing and coordinating electronic cash payments for clients. She also provides operational support to the MSSI bookkeeping staff on an ad hoc basis to meet client needs. She graduated from the CDI College in Toronto, with a Business Administration diploma and George Brown College with an Accounting and Payroll Administration diploma.

Amrita Ramkumar joined MSSI in 2010 as a part time administrative assistant while completing her studies at Humber College.  In 2011 after graduating with a Diploma in Business Accounting she joined the accounting team. Amrita has extensive experience with various accounting functions, including journal entries, payroll, bank reconciliations and accounts payable. Robert Suttie, Vice President

Robert Suttie is MSSI’s Vice President, possessing more than twenty years of experience, ten of which were in public accounting prior to his tenure with the company. Robert specializes in management advisory services, accounting and the financial disclosure needs of the group’s public client base. He is regularly involved in initial public offerings, business combinations and asset carve-outs and spin-out transactions. In addition to managing the group’s financial-statement team, Robert also serves as Chief Financial Officer to a number of junior mining companies listed on the TSX and TSX Venture exchanges, leveraging his skills and experience to become integral to the reporting issuers. Robert has a focus on building strong relationships with clients and on developing the skill set of the financial statement team.

Daniel Crandall, Senior Manager

Daniel Crandall is a Senior Manager at MSSI possessing over 10 years of experience working with public companies. He specializes in providing Chief Financial Officer, accounting, regulatory compliance, and management advisory services to numerous issuers on the TSX, TSX-Venture, CSE and other international exchanges. Dan is a CPA, CA and has an Honours Bachelor of Accounting (Co-op) degree from Brock University. Previously, he was a Manager at Collins Barrow Toronto LLP, a public accounting firm where he worked for over five years.

Nan Sheopaul, Accounting Manager

Nan Sheopaul is an Accounting Manager at MSSI and is responsible for directing, reviewing and coordinating all of the company’s bookkeeping functions. Nan has nearly twenty years of accounting experience. Prior to joining MSSI in 2000, Nan was a bookkeeper with Marine Expedition Inc. and the World Cruise Company. Prior to 1996, Nan worked for The Craft Giant, an importer of craft materials. Nan completed her bookkeeping designation from Centennial College

Jennifer Averion, Accounting Supervisor

Jennifer Averion is an Accounting Supervisor responsible for the day-to-day support of clients and bookkeepers at MSSI and joined the MSSI team in 2007. Prior to joining the Group, she spent eight years working for Bigmate Philipines Inc., as Head of the Accounting Department. She graduated from Colegio de San Juan de Letran in Manila, the Philippines, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy. She also completed an Accounting and Payroll Diploma at Everest College, Toronto, Ontario. She also holds a CPA Certificate as a Payroll Compliance Practitioner.

Harvey Tan, Internal Controls Compliance Officer

Harvey Tan is the Internal Controls and Compliance Officer at MSSI. Prior to joining the company, Harvey had international experience working with companies overseas in the areas of business processes and controls. As part of his role, Harvey is responsible for the overall compliance of internal control procedures within the company, as well as ensuring the successful completion of the company’s certification process on controls over financial reporting. He graduated from De La Salle University, Manilla, the Philippines, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

A central member of our accounting team, Ingy has extensive experience with various accounting functions, including journal entries, invoices, reconciliations, taxation and reporting. Originally from Egypt, Ingy earned her Bachelor of Commerce at Alexandria University. Ingy is reliable and conscientiously works through each file in order to ensure her clients’ needs are met. Ingy enjoys overcoming challenges, continuing her education and is a Starbucks addict. Ingy is currently working towards her CPA designation in order to provide the best quality of service to our clients.
